Jessica Heslam (born March 26, 1972 in Halifax, Nova Scotia) is a news columnist for the ''Boston Herald''.〔http://bostonherald.com/news_opinion/columnists/2011/07/jessica_heslam_promoted_news_columnist〕 Heslam was hired by the Boston newspaper in 2000 from the ''Patriot Ledger'' in Quincy, Massachusetts. She has covered many national news stories, including the September 11, 2001 attacks, The Station nightclub fire in West Warwick, Rhode Island, the 2000 Wakefield massacre at Edgewater Technology and the Virginia Tech massacre.
